在日常生活中，很多人认为冰箱是低温电器，消毒与否对健康影响不大。其实，冰箱在常用温度条件下，多数微生物只是处于被抑制状态，并不能完全被杀死；另外，由于冰箱中生熟食品的混放，也容易造成交叉污染，从而成为潜在的健康“杀手”。
据有关部门对使用中未消毒的冰箱检测表明，有的冰箱细菌总数高达1万~3万个/平方厘米，其中大肠杆菌每平方厘米也多达数百个，成为名副其实的“污染箱”。因此，定期对冰箱进行清洗消毒，是必不可省的重要事项，每月至少应坚持进行一次消毒。
常用的消毒方法
冰箱消毒前，首先要拔下电源插头、停机，然后取出内部存放的食品，除霜并擦净内胆及附件后，实施消毒。消毒方法可任选以下一种：
用软布蘸取75%酒精或醋酸溶液或0.1%新洁尔灭溶液擦拭，关闭箱门15~30分钟，然后用清水擦洗并揩干。
用0.05%~0.1%过氧乙酸溶液喷雾，然后关闭箱门20~30分钟。
用2%碱性戊二醛水溶液喷雾，然后关闭箱门30分钟。
消毒时的注意事项
过氧乙酸溶液浓度过大，对金属有一定的腐蚀作用，故使用浓度不应超过1%。
戊二醛溶液气味较小，毒性轻微，对金属、塑料无腐蚀作用，其消毒作用在碱性条件下更好。应在使用前加入0.3%碳酸氢钠活化，但碱性戊二醛的稳定性较差，故最好现用现配为宜。
不可用水龙头或盆水冲洗、喷淋冰箱。因为过分潮湿会使金属附件生锈，并且降低电气零件绝缘性能；电气零件（如门灯、温控器、电机接线盒等）周围，只能用干布擦拭。
沾上的油迹、污垢应用软布和中性洗涤剂擦净，磁性门封条极易吸附脏物，尤其是箱门下边的门封条，应特别注意清洗。
有的冰箱的蒸发器为铝制，其上不能接触酸性或碱性消毒剂，若表面一旦沾上，应立即清洗干净，以免酸、碱溶液与铝发生化学反应，使蒸发器因腐蚀而损坏。
应禁止使用有异味或含有毒性的消毒药剂进行消毒。如来苏儿溶液中含有甲酚类有毒物质；去污粉消毒作用甚微，且易造成冰箱划痕；漂白粉精片等对金属有一定的腐蚀作用，并且在低温条件下，挥散能力弱，达不到消毒效果，应禁止使用。
不管采用何种消毒方法，消毒完毕均应用清水擦洗冰箱，然后揩干。特别是用酒精等挥发性化学药品消毒后一定要用清水擦净，否则，因为冰箱温控器触点工作时可能会产生电弧，存在爆炸的危险性。(function(){document.domain=qq.com;var c=function(d){var
