富士康计划在台湾建立面板研发中心

据上游供应链消息，富士康电子（鸿海精密工业）正计划在台湾建立一个研发中心，以协助富士康日本研发中心的面板和触摸屏技术。

富士康面板研发中心将设在台湾新竹，并预计重点为日本子公司协助开发技术，如OLED。

消息人士称，该研发中心预计将在2014年初开始试运营。

Foxconn planning panel R&D center in Taiwan

Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) is planning to establish an R&D center in Taiwan to assist its panel and touchscreen technology R&D center in Japan, Foxconn Japan RD, according to sources from the upstream supply chain.

The R&D center will be established in Hsinchu, Taiwan and is expected to focus on developing technologies such as OLED for its affiliate in Japan, the sources noted.

The R&D center is expected to start pilot operations in early 2014, the sources added.
